Ein neues Projekt

Mein "Flying Fancy" ist nun fertig und ich überlege, welcher Quilt von meiner ToDo-Liste das nächste Jahresprojekt werden soll. Für einen großen Quilt brauche ich etwa ein Jahr, das Nähen an sich ist nach ausgiebiger Vorplanung relativ schnell gemacht, aber das Quilten von Hand dauert so seine Zeit.

So sieht der Anfang meines neuen Replica-Quilts aus, ein Teil der Stoffauswahl, erste Zuschnitte, sowie ein paar Farbtupfer zur Auflockerung und als Blickfang in der hell-dunklen Stoffkombination.



Since my "Flying Fancy" is ready done, I have to think about a new project from my to-do-list. Now I've decided to make an other quilt replica. For a large quilt I need approximate a year, sewing is done pretty quick, but the handquilting will take a long time. I show you some pictures from the beginning of a new quilt: the main part of the fabric, first cut squares, colourful blocks for accents.
